What an incredible weekend! I just got home from another Contractor Coalition Summit in Boston, and it was nothing short of amazing. This was the first time the event was hosted over a weekend, and it couldn’t have been better timed. As business owners, the workweek is often hectic, stressful, and full of distractions. Hosting the event from Friday to Monday gave us the chance to focus fully on the educational portion on Saturday and Sunday, while reserving Friday afternoon and Monday morning for site visits, recaps, additional networking, and Q&A sessions. This schedule allowed us to make the most of our time, reducing distractions and creating a more productive and positive experience for everyone.
Throughout the weekend, we had around 50 people participating at any given time, equally split between sponsors, hosts, and attendees. This was my first time attending as a host, and I couldn’t be happier with how the event turned out. I had the opportunity to engage deeply with both our sponsors and guests, gaining real-time insights into their experiences. While we do send out post-event surveys, nothing compares to the immediate feedback and conversations that happen in person.
It’s important to note that this event is a financial investment in your business, your future, and your company. Over the weekend, you’ll forge strong, personal relationships with peers from across the country, and these connections will continue long after the event ends. Everyone who attends shares a passion for growing their business and elevating the industry as a whole. One of the best descriptions of this investment came from an attendee, Nate Searing, who said the cost of attending converts the “ignorance tax” for business. This term refers to the extra costs, losses, or inefficiencies we incur due to inexperience or lack of knowledge. When you consider the financial, legal, or contractual pitfalls that could cost your business, this investment is minor in comparison.
Over the weekend, we covered a wide range of business topics, including brand identity, AI in construction, SEO and marketing strategies, digital and social visibility, contracts, client satisfaction, scheduling, pricing, business systems, and actionable strategies to support all these aspects. Whether you’ve been in business for one year or fifty, this event offers incredible value. We don’t hand out a “secret formula” for success, but we do provide the ideas, systems, and information that you can implement in your business. Your success will depend on how effectively you apply these tools. Consistent, deliberate effort is key—no conference, book, or consulting session can guarantee success without it.
The success of this summit has motivated us to keep pushing forward. We are committed to refining our content, enhancing the experience, and improving the overall product. Leaving Boston, I felt inspired, motivated, and reminded of the power of community. When we come together as an industry, the results are far greater than when we work in isolation. Collaboration truly surpasses competition.
